Last year, Child Welfare Service’s Court Process Improvement Committee developed a Child Protective Proceedings Handbook, as well as a shorter Pamphlet, for parents involved in child protective proceedings. CWS mailed dozens of copies to courts, who then provided the resources either directly to parents involved in child protective proceedings and/or to attorneys representing parents.
Due to popular demand, CWS is planning to print additional copies of both of these resources. Below are links to both the Handbook and the Pamphlet. CWS would like our judicial association members to know that they can request additional copies by contacting Kelly Wagner, Director of Child Welfare Services, SCAO at (517) 373-8671. CWS expects to be able to distribute these within the next few weeks.
